Beta applications

Privacy notice

Last updated: 1 November 2026

This notice covers the details you give us when you apply for a place in the Tilliver closed beta, using the form on tilliver.com. It is short because the form is the only thing on this site that collects anything about you.

Who we are

Tilliver is made by Wrought Web. Wrought Web is run by Duncan Davis as a sole trader, and he is the controller of the details you send us (“we” and “us” in this notice).

For anything about your data, email hello@wroughtweb.com.

What we collect

  • Your name, your café’s name, your town or city and your email address.
  • The till you use now, and your phone number and contract end date if you choose to give them.
  • Your answers about how your café works: how customers order, the food you serve, whether you use a SumUp card reader and how many shops you have.
  • Anything you write in the “do better” box.
  • Whether you ticked “Keep me posted about Tilliver”.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To consider your café for the beta and talk to you about it. You asked to take part, so we use your details to take the steps you asked for before any agreement, and because we have a legitimate interest in choosing beta cafés that suit what Tilliver does well today.
  • To email you news about Tilliver, only if you ticked “Keep me posted”. That is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying to any of those emails or by emailing us. The box is never ticked for you.

We will not sell your details or use them for anything else.

Who sees it

We read every application ourselves. Two companies handle your details for us:

  • Amazon Web Services hosts this website, receives the form and stores your application in its London data centres, on our instructions under a written contract.
  • Telegram, a messaging service, delivers a copy of each application to us as a private message, so we see it quickly.

We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.

If any of those companies holds your details outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

If your café joins the beta, your application becomes part of your account with us. If it does not, we delete your application, and the copy in Telegram, 12 months after we were last in touch with you. We delete it sooner if you ask.

If you ticked “Keep me posted”, we keep a record of that until you unsubscribe, and for 12 months afterwards so we can show what you agreed to and keep honouring the unsubscribe.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and has no analytics or tracking. The servers that deliver the page see your IP address in order to send it to you, as with any website.

Children

The beta is for people who run a café. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s details. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or delete them, ask us to restrict or stop using them, and ask for them in a form you can take elsewhere. Email hello@wroughtweb.com and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, please tell us first at hello@wroughtweb.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay and tell you what we find. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change how we handle beta applications, we will update this page and the date at the top.
